The department of Botany started functioning since inception of the college in 1965. The first in-charge of the department was Mrs. Hemalatha, Dr.Radhakrishna, Sri.Ch.Rajarao, Mrs. N.Janaki Devi, Dr.H.Rajendra pradad,Sri A.Netaji, Dr.M.MadhusudanRao,Dr.CH.RameshBabu were the successors.
